Established on 19 September 1988, the number of staff of the Environmental Protection Bureau of Changhua County was originally set at 38 people, and the staff was to be divided into three classes and one office. In April 1996, the regulation was revised to a staff of 84 people and 5 classes/2 offices. In April 1998, the regulation was further revised to 5 classes/4 offices and a staff of 84 remained unchanged. In June 2000, the number of staff was increased to 88 people. In January 2008, the organization was revised to be divided into 8 classes and 3 offices.
